Horn ♥ Kolter Carnival Shirts On Sale Now

Carnival shirts are on sale now through October 20. Place your order online or turn in the paper form to the Kolter North office.

The shirts match our Horn Elementary neighbors, but are in a contrasting purple color. The shirts run “true to size” (same fit as the 2016 iFest shirts), so you may wish to order a size larger than your normal Kolter spirit wear.

See the Carnival page for all details on the Horn ♥ Kolter Big Top Carnival on Saturday, November 4!

We’re Invited to a Carnival — And the Proceeds Go to Kolter!

Our neighboring elementary school, Horn Elementary, is inviting the Kolter community to its Big Top Carnival on Saturday, November 4, from 2 – 6pm.

When they heard our carnival games and supplies were destroyed in Harvey flooding, they jumped into action. Not only are we invited, they are donating all proceeds from wristband sales to Kolter families back to Kolter!

Please consider attending this great event.  You can purchase wristbands online or by downloading the paper order form and turning your payment into the school office.  See the Carnival page for all the details.

Kolter Impacted by Hurricane Harvey Flooding

On Saturday, August 26, category 4 Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Rockport, Texas, and began an agonizingly slow climb towards Houston. Our area began to see the strong outer bands that night in the form of pounding rain and violent thunder and lightning.  By morning, half of the beautiful homes in our neighborhood were flooded and the water continued to rise higher. Ultimately, our beloved school took on approximately two feet of water, and almost our entire neighborhood was flooded to some degree.

ABC-13’s Jeff Ehling shows some of the damage to our school during his on-air boat ride through Meyerland:

As so many of our families begin the long process of cleaning up and rebuilding, we anxiously await the drying out, cleaning, remodeling, and re-opening of our school — as it is truly the hub of our community and a second home to our children.  Please consider donating to our I HEART KOLTER: Rebuild + Recover fund in the coming days or weeks.
